Loskop and Theekop (Burnside) Game Farms are world-renowned game breeding and trophy hunting conservancies, situated in the heart of the Northern Cape. The long-term management goal of the owner(s) are to ensure sustainable management of game species which include tourism activities. as well as selective hunting.
We are passionate about nature, as well as making our guests feel at home and relaxed, while experiencing traditional Northern Cape hospitality.
Loskop is situated 89 km from the Kimberley airport and in close vicinity to the renowned Mokala National Park. The farm is easily accessible by road in 2 x 4 vehicles. Transport shuttle services can also be arranged from the airport.
THE CENTRAL LODGE
The spacious central lodge at Loskop is surrounded by 4 luxury chalets, within short walking distance of the lodge. The kitchen is fully equipped to fulfil all your catering needs. The inside entertainment area consists of a bar with inside braai facilities, pool table and satellite television. An outside braai area and boma is also available, as well as a swimming pool. The chalets are equipped with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with a shower and a kitchenette. Loskop can accommodate up to 18 guests, thereby ensuring a personal and tranquil experience further enhanced by excellent cuisine, either on a self-catering or full-catering basis.
The newly built lodge at Theekop offers 3 rooms to comfortably sleep 6 guests. Visit Theekop for a more intimate, on-foot hunting experience. The lodge was built to have a 360 degree view of the farm. Facilities include a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen and inside braai leading to the entertainment area. The protected Boscia Albitrunca (Witgatboom) with its beautiful branches can be found in abundance on the farm. People were known to have made coffee from its trunk during the war.
Loskop consists of a diverse habitat ranging from a savannah landscape with protected Camelthorn trees and grasslands, to Raisin Bush and Grey Camelthorn for the leaf eaters. Loskop and Theekop combined is home to more than 30 mammal species.
Birdwatching enthusiasts can enjoy their favourite past-time while visiting the farm with the array of birdlife in the Douglas area.
